The transmission and clutch are critical components of your heavy-duty vehicle. They allow power to be transferred from the engine to the wheels and help control the speed and torque of your vehicle. At B&B Truck & Trailer Repair, we provide transmission and clutch services to keep your vehicle running smoothly.
Signs of Clutch Damage
The clutch is responsible for connecting and disconnecting the engine from the transmission. Signs of clutch damage include difficulty shifting gears, slipping gears, and a burning smell. If you notice any of these signs, it's essential to bring your vehicle to our shop for a diagnosis and repair.
Signs of a Transmission that Needs Maintenance
A transmission that needs maintenance can cause a variety of issues, including grinding gears, slipping gears, and difficulty shifting. These problems can be caused by low transmission fluid, worn-out gears, or other mechanical issues. Our technicians can diagnose the problem and provide the necessary repairs to keep your transmission running smoothly.
Automatic Transmissions and Transmission Fluid
Automatic transmissions use transmission fluid to lubricate and cool the gears and other components. Over time, the fluid can become dirty or low, causing damage to the transmission. Our technicians can perform a transmission fluid flush to ensure your transmission is properly lubricated and cooled, preventing damage and extending its lifespan.
Manual Transmissions and Gear Oil
Manual transmissions use gear oil to lubricate and cool the gears and other components. Like transmission fluid, gear oil can become dirty or low over time, causing damage to the transmission. Our technicians can perform a gear oil change to ensure your manual transmission is properly lubricated and cooled, preventing damage and extending its lifespan.
